Pink Out - October
Luna NJHS supports the fight against breast cancer each year with a donation to the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation Fund. This year our contribution came from money raised from teachers who donated $5 for a Pink Out Friday in October. We raised over $300 in the fight against breast cancer 100% of which was donated to the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation. Each year faculty and staff wear pink shirts and blue jeans to show their support in the fight against breast cancer. NJHS students promote the event and create a wall of pink ribbons. Each ribbon features the name of someone a student or faculty member knows or is related to who has dealt with breast cancer.
